Join Waste Free Greenwich for our 5th annual ReThink Waste Fair, an engaging, family friendly event to explore ways to rethink waste through the 6 R’s: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repair and Rot.
Activities to inspire your waste free lifestyle abound at the fair! Vendors will offer low waste products from reusable wares and upcycled accessories to kitchen tools and beauty products, while local community partners will share practical tips and information through hands-on activities and exhibits. Highlights include:

The First Selectman will issue an Earth Day Proclamation, and the Greenwich Sustainability Committee will announce the recipients of its Sustainability Awards. Learn how to live more sustainably with minimal waste through our mini workshops.
RECYCLING DRIVE
The ReThink Waste Fair features a drive for hard to recycle items and supplies for our neighbors in need. Here’s a full list of materials for the drive with links to recycling partners and guidelines for donation. Note: we cannot accept any items that do not follow guidelines.
Batteries (household - no automotive) to be recycled at Holly Hill Resource Recovery Facility
Books, CDs, DVDs + LPs: bring 2-3 for our exchange; remaining items will be donated to Books4Everyone
Cell phones for Cellphones for Soldiers
Eyeglasses & hearing aids for Lion’s Club
Plastic bags, wrap and film for NexTrex via Riverside School Green Schools Committee
Printer ink cartridges to be recycled at Staples
Textiles, including clothing, shoes, accessories, linens & towels, to support recycling education via GRAB
Trial-sized Toiletries for New Covenant Center
Designated food items for the Folsom House food panty at Greenwich High School
