Got old cell phones? Unused coats? Leftover pumpkins? This is your chance to make a powerful impact on your neighbors and the planet—all in one fun afternoon!
Waste Free Greenwich, in partnership with Round Hill Community Church, invites the Greenwich community to a Reduce Reuse Recycle Drive on Sunday, November 16, 11 am – 2 pm, at the Round Hill Community House (397 Round Hill Road, Greenwich). Come make a difference while having a blast!
Recycling Drive: Clear out your closets! Easily and conveniently donate those items that can't go in your regular blue bin, including eyeglasses, textiles, cell phones, and more. Give your "junk" a second chance at life!
Warm Hearts, Full Pantries: Directly support our neighbors in need. Stock the shelves and share the warmth by donating non-perishable food items and warm winter coats and jackets for local social service agencies, including Person to Person and the new Folsom House pantry at Greenwich High School.
Squash Food Waste: Let's conquer food waste together! Drop off your post-holiday pumpkins for composting. Don't miss the interactive compost demo to learn how to transform kitchen scraps into valuable "black gold," and sample delicious pumpkin recipes designed to help you utilize every bit of your squash!
Festive Fun: This event is for the whole family! Kids can enjoy fall lawn games like pumpkin bowling and gourd tic-tac-toe in our Pumpkin Play Zone.
